CLARINET REPERTOIRE

Each teacher generally has a course of study in which you will be exposed to the great literature for the clarinet. If you are on your own, you might consider the following works. I have tried to come up with a list of ten or so pieces in each category that I consider to be "core" works in the clarinet repertoire. This list is far from comprehensive: there are thousands of pieces written for the clarinet. I hope these suggestions will encourage you to look at other works by these composers. For an extensive database of clarinet music, try the database at woodwind.org
